The Day of Silence Walkout

Below is a statement issued by the ACLU, emphasizing the limits of political activism during instructional time:

“You DO have a right to participate in Day of Silence and other expressions of your opinion at a public school during non-instructional time: the breaks between classes, before and after the school day, lunchtime, and any other free times during your day.

“You do NOT have a right to remain silent during class time if a teacher asks you to speak.”

The Day of Silence, which is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), fast approaches. This year it will take place in most public schools on Friday, April 27, 2018. On this day, thousands of public high schools and increasing numbers of middle schools will allow students to remain silent throughout an entire day – even during instructional time – to promote GLSEN’s socio-political goals and its controversial, unproven, and destructive theories on the nature and morality of homosexuality.

Parents must actively oppose this hijacking of the classroom for political purposes. Please join the national effort to reclaim a proper understanding of the role, and limits of public education. Help de-politicize the learning environment by calling your child out of school if your child’s school allows students and/or teachers to refuse to speak during instructional time on the Day of Silence.

10 Reasons Why Christians Should Boycott the ‘Day of Silence’

A broad coalition of pro-family groups recommends that students stay away from school on Friday, April 17, 2015, the national “Day of Silence,” if the school is officially recognizing and/or encouraging students to observe this event during instructional time by a silent protest. High schools and even some middle schools are now the focus of this event.

The Day of Silence is supposedly led by students, but actually led by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which describes itself as “championing LGBT issues in K-12 education since 1990.” Did you catch that– “K through 12”? Younger and younger students are the target of this group. The younger, the better because they are easier to manipulate.

Silence the Day of Silence in South Dakota

This article contains a sample letter to get your Pastor to write to your school about the ‘Day of Silence’:
Silence the Day of Silence in South Dakota

The Day of Silence, organized and promoted by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), takes place this year on Friday, April 17. The Day of Silence is the king of all the numerous homosexuality-affirming activities that take place in public schools. It started in one university and then, like a cancer, metastasized to thousands of high schools and then into middle schools. Before long it will take place in elementary schools. Leftists know that it’s easier to indoctrinate 16-year-olds than 36-year-olds and easier still to indoctrinate 6-year-olds.

Keep Your Children Home from School on Day of Silence April 17, 2015

The difference between the Knights Party Crusaders Youth Corps and the growing ranks of other Christian organizations which oppose the recruitment of children at taxpayer expense by those statistically more likely to be child molesters is that THEY want to withdraw from the fight by keeping their kids home on the DAY OF SHAME. WE encourage our youth to stand up to the bullying of Sodomites, and speak up for our faith and values!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to the many Knights Party Crusaders Youth Corps members and associates who have been working with fellow students, parents, local taxpayers, and church congregations to oppose the ‘Day of Silence’. Several school boards and administrations, faced with phone calls and visits by parents and concerned community members, have already canceled their planned April 17th activities, or at least modified them greatly to make attendance optional. Here is an example of one school administrator who felt compelled to respond to the growing backlash:

School principal tells gay organizer “We don’t want to be the school pushing the gay agenda” for ‘Day of Silence’! Good for him!

2015 ‘Day of Shame’

The perverted “Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network” (GLEN) has announced that April 17th, 2015, will be their annual “Day of Silence”, when homosexual, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, and other mentally ill schoolchildren will be encouraged to remain silent all day at school, in order to bring attention to their anti-Christian lifestyle and cause. In response, the Knights Party Crusaders Youth Corps will be responding with our own annual “Day of Shame”, wherein White heterosexual school children refuse to be bullied by the disgusting Sodomites or their highly inappropriate, creepy hyper-sexualized adult ‘sponsors’ and promoters, many of whom are homosexuals, themselves.

Ask your child’s school if the administration or any ‘student’ organization on campus plans on participating in this April 17th’s ‘Day of Silence’. Talk to your kids about the purpose of the day being to legitimize and promote the homosexual lifestyle. Encourage them to stand up and speak up for traditional marriage and family values. If you find that your local school will be subject to this homosexual bullying, please contact us at nationaloffice@theknightsparty.com. Let’s work together, to keep our kids safe!

Straight Kids Being Bullied By Gay Propaganda

MURFREESBORO, TN – The ACLU of Tennessee and the national ACLU today sent a letter to the Rutherford County Board of Education urging that Central Magnet School students and teachers be allowed to reinstate GLSEN’s “Safe Space” posters that the school board had removed from classrooms at the school. The posters identify classrooms as spaces where all students can feel safe from bullying and harassment, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Members of the Central Magnet School Gay Straight Alliance student organization requested last year that teachers display the posters in classrooms. The posters, designed by GLSEN, were hung without incident alongside posters from other student groups for the majority of the prior school year. The GLSEN poster states, “This is a safe and inclusive space for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students and their allies. All students deserve a safe and welcoming school environment.” A copy of the poster in question can be viewed here.

“Removal of these posters is a violation of the free speech rights of students and teachers,” said Thomas H. Castelli, ACLU-TN Legal Director. “Permitting some student groups but not others to display posters amounts to unconstitutional, discriminatory censorship.”

The school board, speaking through its attorney via telephone, claimed that the poster’s content is of an inappropriate sexual nature because it contains the words “lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.” The ACLU letter asserts that this is an “obvious mischaracterization.” In the same conversation, the school board’s attorney stated that the poster is inappropriately political in nature. The ACLU letter states that this claim “grossly misconstru[es] the nature of the poster.”

“I believe creating a safe school environment is important for all students. Anti-gay harassment and bullying hurts everyone, which is why I found the censorship of this poster particularly surprising and frustrating,” said Allen Nichols, Central Magnet School social studies and history teacher. “While I hung the poster at students’ request, I thought it was important to do so because it shows that my classroom is a safe, supportive environment for every young person I work with.”

Many LGBT students in Tennessee do not feel safe at school because of their sexual orientation. 88.0 percent of LGBT students in Tennessee have been verbally harassed and 43 percent have been physically harassed in the past year because of their sexual orientation, according to GLSEN’s “2011 Tennessee State Snapshot.” A hostile school climate can result in absenteeism, lowered educational aspirations and academic achievement, and poorer psychological well-being.

“Removing a GLSEN Safe Space poster that promotes a positive learning environment free from bullying and harassment is alarming given that a majority of LGBT students in Tennessee report feeling unsafe in school because of their sexual orientation or gender identity,” said Dr. Eliza Byard, GLSEN’s Executive Director. “Every student deserves to feel safe in school and our Safe Space posters, a part of GLSEN’s Safe Space Kit, play a vital role in conveying that very message. Students know they have an educator to turn to for support when they see our poster displayed in a school classroom or office.”

“Students have the right to be safe at school, and they have a right to state their opinion about that as well,” said Amanda C. Goad, staff attorney with the ACLU LGBT Project. “The school board needs to immediately reauthorize display of the poster and to ensure that such censorship will not occur again.”

That’s so gay

Being a young person today is more difficult than ever. During a time of life when you are becoming a young adult, your body is going through a lot of physical and chemical changes. Your brain is, too. Part of those changes include becoming a man or woman, as your gender dictates, and developing feelings of attraction for the opposite and complimentary gender. We were created in two halves of a whole, male and female, as God designed. Males and females are, as you have noticed, very different from one another. And, aren’t we glad of that! Our Heavenly Father designed us that way, so that through the holy guideline of marriage, we can join together as he designed, male and female, into one partnership.

Many of the young people who attend public school, or even watch much television, have seen or heard something lately about “bullying”. Of course, bullying has always existed, just as inequality in size and strength between people has always existed. Today, though, bullying seems to be the favorite new liberal way to stifle free speech. Of course, bullying is wrong. Of course, you should stand up to bullies. However, many enemies of free speech want to silence anyone who might criticize the perverted and disgusting agenda they are trying to promote in public schools, just as in the rest of society. What we are talking about, when we are discussing the frantic, shrill opposition to bullying, is really a thinly masked attempt to promote homosexuality. Watch for it, and you will see. Anyone who criticizes the homosexual agenda, or gay marriage, or homosexuals adopting children, will be accused of “bullying”. It’s like a junior version of hate speech laws. If anything that is said might hurt someone’s feelings, they can say that they felt “bullied” by it, and that speech can be forbidden, or even punished. As liberals always do, hypocritically, the homosexual activists and their supporters are trying to bully people into silence, by pretending to oppose bullying. They are pretending to want to protect children, when they really want to convert them into homosexuals, or browbeat them into accepting gays and the queer lifestyle as being “okay”. Of course, they are wrong. That is why The Knights Party sponsors a “National Day of Shame” each year to counter the “National Day of Silence” promoted by the anti-God homosexual extremists in our public schools across America.

Today’s leaders lack any real moral compass, or sense of right and wrong, when it comes to homosexuality. The President of the United States openly and avidly promotes the legalization of gay marriage. His opponent, supposedly more ‘conservative’, thinks that it’s great for gays to be able to adopt children. However, God’s sense of right and wrong never changes. He has told us repeatedly in the Bible that homosexuality is a sin. Like Daniel, and like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, sometimes we have to speak up against sin, especially when it is being promoted as a virtue. When we do, we will not be alone, just as they were not alone. God will be with us. Talk to your parents and your friends. Discuss with them that homosexuality is wrong, and unnatural, and you don’t want to be forced into accepting it. Being bullied into silence when it comes to the truth is just so gay.
